We couldn’t leave things as they were at the end of Strange the Dreamer! We absolutely devoured Muse of Nightmares and had to debrief - no themes, just feelings. In this novel, Lazlo and the ghost of Sarai unearth more secrets, and work hard to find common ground between the two worlds of humans and gods. Sparrow blooms, Minya unravels, and Thyon gets the redemption arc Draco Malfoy wishes he had!

It’s our last episode with Strange the Dreamer! We’re very sad about it. We wrap up the book and read this final section through the theme of wonder. The Citadel tips to the side and a girl falls to her death. Lazlo rushes into action, saving Weep, and coming fully into his inheritance as Godspawn and son of Skathis. Minya catches Sarai’s soul, but there are consequences... and that is the end!
